New house!!!

This is my new house, that I already LOVE!!! It has 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, finished basement, and a 2 car garage. I am still in the process of unpacking all my stuff and that job is not one bit fun. I have the kitchen all finished and the dining room as well. There are some rooms in the house that I still need to work on like the living room, decorating; my room, decorating; the guest room and the basement. I love living here and haven't been here that long yet. It's all just a work in progress and will get all finished hopefully soon.

Brand new bed and already SO comfortable!!!

My closet is big enough to fit all my clothes and shoes in.
Kind've un-thinkable.

This is the mess my house looked like
as all my stuff got brought over!

Lindsey's baby shower/Utah

I went on over to Utah and threw my very best friend, since high school, her first baby shower for her baby girl on the way. I had SO much fun because I hardly ever see her since we don't live in the same state anymore. I think her shower turned out to be pretty good and she of course got some great gifts for what she needs. After her shower I was able to visit my other friend that lives in Utah as well. We have been friends since middle school and it was tons of fun to have time with her and her family. The Utah trip turned out to be wonderful and I had tons of fun catching up with my friends that I harldly see.
This is the baby shower invitation I hand made.
This was put in the invitation for people to bring books:
I want to be a bright child
As smart as I can be.
That is why I'm hoping
My mom will read to me.
If you plan to bring a card
Please take another look.
I would like to learn my ABC's
From your favorite storybook.
Please sign your name
As your personal touch.
Baby Neumann thanks you
Beary, beary much.

I brought lots of clothes with me for her baby girl and
they doubled as cute shower decorations as well.
This is the "BELLY BUMP/PREGNANT" cake I made.

Army Strong!!!

I just went to South Carolina with the family to honor my little brother Adam on his Army bootcamp graduation. I couldn't be more proud of him! He is now a solid soldier. The trip was short but fun. We went onto the base and saw what it was all about. Rylee's a little soldier in training and knows how to
stand at ease just like Uncle Adam! These are the BARRACKS that the boys sleep in.

New WHEELS!!!

I have waited a very long, I mean VERY LONG, time for this to happen. The road along the past 3 years has been rough and tough for me with not being able to drive and not having a car. Now that I have been able to drive I have borrowed cars but I now no longer have to. A friend and cousin have an Xterra and I began to like them and I even wanted an Xterra before the accident and then that happens and I get one. The day has finally happened and I got a brand spanking new car. I got a black Nissan Xterra. It isn't a normal compact car and I really feel very safe in it for when I'm bouncing around. I certainly LOVE it and definitely feel so thankful for what I now have.

Denver Broncos!!!

It is so fun that you can go to where the Broncos practice and watch them before the season starts. I went and did that today and it was fun. There were plenty of other fans because there were lots of people there, including media. The weather was hecka hot hot hot but it was oh so fun to watch anyways!

Getting old!

I just had my 26th birthday. Oh boy, I'm aging!!! I had a good birthday and celebrated with my girlfriends twice.

Celebration number one: My birthday was during the week so we celebrated the weekend before my day of birth. I had this idea for me and a few girlfriends to go to dinner then go bowling then go downtown. I haven't been bowling in awhile so I figured this would be fun for my birthday. The girls went along with it and had fun as well.

Celebration number two: My Rockies were in town on my birthday and it was a day game so I wanted to go. Me and two other friends made it an outing for the day. They played the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was a very fun day to be there on my birthday! The game was good but the weather was oh so HOT!!! The Rockies ended up winning so I'm pretty sure I brought a lucky charm with me for that to happen (HEHE!) :) I had this idea to make a poster and bring it to the game with me. I saw this somewhere and was thinking, I'm gonna make one of those some day. I was asked by one of the worker girls if I wanted to win $50 by answering a guestion. I of course said yes. I was just hoping that the question wouldn't be too hard and that I would get it right to get the money. It wasn't too hard of a question and so I got the answer right and won myself $50 from the Rockies! WAHOO!!! After the game I got a phone call from a girlfriend and was told that I need to go out with her for my birthday. I couldn't say no and was excited to have some fun that night. We went out downtown with some girlfriends and we all had a great time! She's friends with a couple of the Rockies players so we "partied" with them and that was fun fun fun! I really had myself a GREAT birthday and love all my girlfriends!

Here's the sign I made!!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!

TAKE ME OUT

TO THE

BALL FIELD

WITH

SPILBORGHS

I got onto the JUMBOTRON at the game so I'm sure the players saw me too!!! The question for $50 was: What doesn't need to be caulked? A- windows B-coffee mug C- doors

One of my favorite players! Batter batter up!

Rockies win vs. Diamonbacks 4-3!

Gotta Love me some Dinger!

Recovery

Three years ago on this day became a day I will never forget, along with others.
Here's the low down of my recovery-
It was a GREAT day in CO on July 6, 2006 and so I was at the zoo with the two little boys I was nannying for. (What an amazing job to have!) We were on our way home from having such a fun day at the Denver zoo. I had just got onto the freeway and ended up in the middle lane with a semi truck, that was driven by a drunk driver, to the left of me. I can guess that about 5 or so minutes after I got on, I was hit HARD from the semi. The truck did not use it's blinker to let me know it was coming in my lane and so I had NO control. I was hit really hard and the wheel smashed me, way hard. It hit me only on my door, luckily not one of the boys' doors, like REALLY hard. It made me get shaking and hit a lot and lots of glass into my body from broken windows. This means that I got to the hospital in a coma and set up with a tracheostomy to control my breathing. I was then taken, right away, to get brain surgery that I needed SO much. The coma ended up staying for two and half weeks and I woke up from it on my 23rd birthday. At this time I was "living" in three different hospitals but got to go home right before Thanksgiving. That's something to be thankful for!
I'm at this point in my life, since 3 years ago, where the time keeps taking FOREVER for this recovery process I'm in. There are two things that my brain and body are unable to do and I hate that part. I need a change up in things, to have them work how I want them to. Patience is a virtue but it's a thin line right now. It should get better soon, like I hope for.At this point I am now able to drive in a car all by myself. I can only drive during the day and not at night. That doesn't make too much sence to me but at least I can drive a little bit more. It feels SO wonderful to drive in a car all by myself when I need to or want to get something done and go somewhere. At this point I am still not working. I still don't even know why I can't from doctors orders. I understand the point that I shouldn't, due to my settlement. I just want to get out and live my life like a normal adult. My settlement is ending pretty soon. Once that is done and over with I will feel alot better. Let's just all hope that it all ends up being very positive for me! All I want is to have a normal life because I haven't had one for the past three years. I always try to be possitive about everything but just like every other person I have some off days that sometimes aren't the greatest. I certainly know that it will get better soon but it's just like a time bomb sometimes. I am just thankful at where I am right now because it could be tons worse and I just need to be kept on the positive side of things.
