My favorite things!

I was tagged by Marcie to list my 10 favorite things.

1) DAIRY QUENN!!! I love their Blizzards...yummy! Their Ice Cream cakes is my favorite cake for my birthday!! I can use some ice cream whether it's cold or hot outside. It used to be the cool place to go for lunch in high school when we couldn't drive yet.

2) EXPRESS JEANS!!! They used to fit me so well but I still love them, even though they don't right now.

3) RANCH DRESSING!!! It seams like I might put too much on but I think I need more to complete the salad and french fries good taste.

4) CAMPING!!! Summer is great for going on camping trips. It's like living in the WILD and oh so fun!

5) DRIVING!!! Driving around in my car used to be one of my best friends. It still is even though I can't drive right now. I could drive around when I'm sad, upset, happy or bored and drive around to listen to music and see new things or road trips.

6) BASEBALL!!! I like football too but baseball rules it out and has always been my favorite sport since I was little. I've been to more baseball games then any other sporting games.

7) SKIING!!! Winter is a good season so you can get out those ski's. I've been a skiier since I was about 4 and learned to not fall down so much anymore!

8) COUNTRY MUSIC!!! I didn't even know what country music was until I moved to Colorado and had two friends that introduced it to me. The concerts are wonderful!!!

9) REALITY TV!!! I'm a big reality tv junkie :) It feels like I could be friends with the people and it is all real instead of it being scripted.

10) 24 HOUR FITNESS!!! I LOVE that the gym is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. This is fabulous because I can go work out whenever I want during the day and try and pick a good time when it's not SO crowded.

I tag everyone, to make their own favorite things list!

ACCEPTED

It happened! I went to my meeting today and got accepted to the John Casablancas Modeling & Career Center (http://www.jcasablancas.com/). I talked with them about it all, and such things, and then did another run-way walk. Carrie then went and talked to her director about it. She came back telling me that I got accepted to their agency. WOW!!! The next step is for me to formaly accept it and then do the 20 Week sessions for TV/Print work. I might be doing this, soon, but have a big decision to make. This seems to be good work, that I've wanted to do for awhile now, that will turn out to be well worth it in the end. RUN-WAY, here I come!!!

Modeling audition

I hardly ever answer my phone from a phone number I don't know but sometimes do. For some reason I did answer this one, who I didn't know who it was. The phone call was from the John Casablanca Modeling and Career Center. This is an agency that I've heard of before. I was told that I was reffered to the John Casablanca Modeling Agency. Hmm, how did that happen and from who?! I was invited for an audition to the agency. I had to wear a dress or slacks, etc. and no flip-flops or sneakers, etc. I decided to go to the audition and see what it was all about and find out if I'd get accepted. I knew about this agency because Virgie signed Dacia and I up for it, years ago, lets say like 14 or so. Knowing the shy Rachael, I wanted to have nothing to do with it. The time period right before my accident, I had the thought to try and get into the modeling industry. One of my dad's friend's wife has her own agency in L.A. so I was thinking to head on over that way to try it out. Well, something of course got in the way of that but I have been thinking, lately, to maybe try it out and try to get set up with modeling. I'm thinking to maybe get into some sort of modeling for the fun of it so why not try it out!? What I had to do for the audition was walk up the run way and pose 5 times, along with this commercial saying:

"WOW! SNACK WELLS FUDGE BROWNIES HAVE ONLY 2 GRAMS OF FAT! IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE! THEY'RE SO RICH YOU'D SWEAR THEY WERE RIGHT FROM THE BAKERY. NEW SNACK WELLS BROWNIES AND SNACK BARS...OUT WITH THE FAT, IN THE TASTE!

I got the wording right and struck my 5 posses. Who knows if it will bring anything my way but what's it gonna hurt for trying? Not much!!! I hope to get a call back, from the agency, to know they are interested in me. If I don't get a call back I will have NO hurt feelings but I can at least say that I tried.
When you go to agencies, you're supposed to bring a photo of yourself, for them to have and remember you. I was looking through my pictures and decided on this one, along with others, because it is an up close face shot. This is the one they decided to take and keep.

The BIG APPLE!!!

WOOHOO!!! The New Year has already brought new things my way. I was, somehow, fortunate enough to meet my Aunt Jody in New York. I have NEVER been there before and was completely wishing it would work out and sure enough it did. She went there for work and I tagged along for the fun parts of it. It started with helping her out at work, San Diego Hat Company. We set up the booth and there were TONS of hats to display. Not just hats but great hats. While she was working, I went out and about the BIG city. Yes I was alone but still enjoyed it by myself. Next time I go I hope I'll be with someone to enjoy the greatness of it with me. I've known that Colorado is super cold at times but my goodness I found out that New York is lots and lots colder. Who would've thought? All I can say is that I got LOTS of excerise during my time there. I could've just taken some cabs or the subway but decided to walk EVERYWHERE to save up some money. It worked out good that way. All in all I had a SPLENDID time. Mostly because I was with the best Aunt in the entire world: Jody! Secondly I got to see lots of sights I've never seen before. I hope to go again someday!
Here I come New York!!!Jody and I arrived safely. The Dylan hotel is the nice hotel we stayed at. It had the nicest doorman ever.Yeah, that's the Empire State building!New York is the mecca of fashion! We we're ready to go shopping to the biggest Macy's ever!I am now famous! Being out for the TODAY show gave me the prize to be on TV.Good ole TODAY show weather man Al Roker.TODAY show's Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb.I headed down, on the subway, to Chinatown/Canal St. to maybe get a deal!It wasn't just a subway ride but a guitar show to go with it!One of the booths with lots of purses but I ended up not get getting one. It might've been a good decision but maybe not!?Jody's working the booth for San Diego Hat company. What a small world that she works there because it is my brother-in-law, Dustin's, uncle's hat company.

Happy New Year, 2009!

The New Year brings in new things. I have decided to now be a part of the cool blogging club. I've blogged before but only for Rylee's blog. I'm not jealous of her having one and not me but figured I could start one now. I LOVE to read my friend's blogs and it made me think HMM, I shall do it now! The fun has now begun, for me to blog away!

The New Year has now begun, awhile ago. The planning started with no solid plan but a solid outfit. It started with my New Years outfit, then the plan to follow. For those who know me, I of COURSE got my outfit from EBAY!!! My New Years ended up being nothing but a GREAT time with some AMAZING friends: Aimee, Andrea, and Tamara, along with their boys! It started with a good time at a friend's house, then a yummy dinner at The Melting Pot where we brought in the New Year. The dinner was yummy but an expensive date with myself. I later decided that it was ohkay that I went along, even though I didn't have a date like the others. Being with friends is the BEST way to bring in the New Year!!!
